Israel seals the Gaza Strip perimeter, enforcing an indefinite shutdown of all border crossings following a major Iranian ballistic missile wave.

The U.S. President shoots down reports of a “non-nuclear” draft, tells domestic critics to “sit back and relax,” and reacts to Tehran’s paused talks.

U.S. President Donald Trump has vigorously defended his administration’s ongoing Trump Iran negotiations, dismissing domestic political pushback and media skepticism while reassuring the public that the diplomatic process is under control. Addressing the nation via his social media platform, Trump pushed back against critics from both sides of the aisle, asserting that despite recent regional complications, Tehran genuinely desires a comprehensive treaty that will ultimately benefit America and its global allies.

The president’s latest statements address a multifaceted diplomatic battleground, combining a fierce defense of his administration’s legislative draft with a strong rebuke of domestic political interference and media reporting.

“Sit Back and Relax” — Trump Fires Back at Domestic Critics

Trump expressed deep frustration with the continuous stream of commentary coming from both Democrats and certain factions within the Republican Party, arguing that the constant public second-guessing actively harms active geopolitical bargaining.

“Don’t the Democrats, and various seemingly unpatriotic Republicans, understand that political figures constantly making negative remarks on a level never seen before—telling me I should move faster or slower, or go to war or not—makes it much harder to do my job properly and negotiate?” Trump questioned.

He offered a blunt message to his political opponents: “Just sit back and relax. In the end, everything will work out, it always does!”

The Nuclear Safeguards Dispute and Attack on CNN

Trump also used the opportunity to vehemently deny a report broadcast by CNN which claimed that the current text offered to Tehran bypassed nuclear restrictions entirely. The president emphasized that preventing a nuclear-armed Tehran remains the absolute core of the proposed framework.

“The Fake News CNN claimed today, as usual, that my Iran nuclear deal didn’t address the nuclear issue,” Trump stated. “In fact, the agreement states very clearly that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons. It then addresses various other aspects of the nuclear issue in very strong and long detail. Actually, most of the agreement is about that.”

Trump went on to label the network and similar media outlets a “low-rating disaster,” adding that even under new corporate leadership, their editorial stance was unlikely to improve.

Addressing Tehran’s Intermission and the Naval Blockade

When questioned by reporters regarding the Iranian government’s sudden decision to suspend negotiations due to escalating Israeli military actions in Lebanon, Trump revealed that Washington had received no advance warning. However, he maintained a calculated and measured tone regarding the sudden diplomatic freeze.

“They didn’t inform us about this,” Trump told reporters. “But that doesn’t mean we’re going to go over there and start dropping bombs everywhere. The Iranians are better at the table than in a war. To tell you the truth, I think we’ve talked too much. I think it would be very good to be quiet for a while, and that could be a long time.”

Despite the pause in direct talks, the president made it clear that the economic pressure campaign against Tehran will not soften. Trump confirmed that the tight U.S. naval blockade restricting access to critical Iranian shipping ports remains fully operational.

“Iran is losing massive amounts of money,” Trump concluded, signaling that the combination of economic leverage and strategic silence would eventually bring Tehran back to the negotiating table on Washington’s terms.
