Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Beijing to commence a high-profile, four-day official visit to China aimed at deepening strategic economic and diplomatic ties. High-Level Leadership Summits Scheduled

During his stay in the capital, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to be received by Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will also hold delegation-level bilateral talks with Premier Li Qiang.

According to diplomatic sources, the leadership meetings will thoroughly review the entire spectrum of Pakistan-China relations. Key agenda items are expected to center around the multi-billion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), regional security cooperation, trade optimization, and technology transfers.

Marking 75 Years of Strategic Alliance

A cornerstone of the visit will be Prime Minister Sharif’s attendance at a high-profile state reception celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

The anniversary underscores decades of a partnership frequently described by both nations as an “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.”

Before arriving in the capital, Sharif initiated his tour in Hangzhou, the capital of China’s eastern Zhejiang province. In Hangzhou, the Prime Minister engaged with regional officials and corporate leaders, exploring private-sector collaborations in digital technology, modern agriculture, and green energy, setting a business-centric tone for the remainder of his diplomatic tour.
