TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan 2026, scheduled to take place from August 20 to 23 at the Golcuk Shipyard Command, will unite technology enthusiasts at a specialized event focusing on marine and underwater innovations.
Expanding the vision of the National Technology Initiative from land to the open seas, the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, is gathering technology and defense industry enthusiasts around a maritime axis under the “Mavi Vatan” (Blue Homeland) theme. Following its debut in Istanbul last year, TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan stood out for its rich displays of domestic naval platforms, advanced deep-sea technologies, competitive challenges, and high visitor turnout. This year’s iteration will be organized under the main leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), hosted directly within the facilities of the Golcuk Shipyard Command. The project aims to connect the youth with Turkey’s maritime strength and high-tech capabilities while building a solid future vision around indigenous engineering solutions.
YOUTH TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF NAVAL ENGINEERING
The upcoming event will feature the Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, the Underwater Rocket Competition, and the Unmanned Marine Vehicle Competition, allowing young minds to transform their theoretical concepts into functional tech. Aspiring young engineers and entrepreneurs will influence the future trajectory of Turkey’s naval borders with the projects they showcase. Throughout the four-day event, stakeholder institutions of TEKNOFEST will also occupy booth spaces to demonstrate their corporate activities and engage with the visiting public. Specialized activities tailored for TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan will include public tours of prominent naval warships, virtual reality simulation zones, cultural competitions celebrating maritime heritage, and exclusive photo ops. Additionally, elite SAT (Underwater Offence) and SAS (Underwater Defence) commandos will perform live tactical demonstrations alongside historical exhibitions and academic conferences.
