Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran is reviewing the United States’ response to its proposed peace plan.

According to Iranian media reports, Baghaei confirmed that Washington’s reply to the 14-point proposal, delivered via Pakistan, has been received and is currently under examination. He noted that the framework focuses on ending the conflict, beginning with an initial pause followed by a 30-day period to negotiate further details. He also clarified that the nuclear issue is not included in the proposal.

Baghaei dismissed reports suggesting that Iran had committed to clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz, describing such claims as media fabrications. He reiterated that the proposal is centered solely on de-escalation and conflict resolution.
